As some of you know, I have been building a benefit kayak paddle in Portland to bring resources to Ukrainians trapped by war and to raise awareness of the dire situation in Ukraine. We will be holding our Paddle For Ukraine! event this Saturday in Portland Oregon. We have well over 100 people registered for this event and expect more walk-ins.
I am posting here for two reasons
1. If you are in or near Portland, please join us this weekend, Saturday May 21! Bring your boat or borrow one of ours. There will be Ukrainian, food, artists, and folk singers. It will be a fun event.
2. If you cannot make it, you can still donate. 100% of the funds raised will go to 501c3 charities bringing relief to Ukrainian fighting for their lives. You can donate here even if you cannot come https://tinyurl.com/PaddleForUkraine
I have been working with great folks from the Portland paddling community, Portland outdoor retailers, and the Ukrainian American Community to make this happen. We would all be grateful for your support.
